Submission/Application for Conferences
Applying is simple - just submit the necessary documents.
Evaluation Period: 01/01/2024 – 12/31/2024, Submission Deadline: 03/28/2025
All organisers of congresses and conferences that took place in Graz in 2024 are eligible to participate. Additional application documents can be sent electronically to the Graz Convention Bureau: kongress@graztourismus.at by 03/28/2025.
Selection Process I Jury 2025
An esteemed jury, consisting of five to seven members, annually comes together to recognize the winners of the previous year. With representatives from the four Graz universities and other educational and research organizations, the jury actively nominates the best events in various categories.
Evaluation is based on these criteria:
- International reach of the event
- Scientific significance nationally and/or internationally
- Number of overnight stays and profitability
- Event size and number of participants
- Impact on Graz's image and social standing
- Economic relevance, revenue, and budget
- Regular recurrence of the event
- Innovation, originality, and initiative
- Consideration of sustainability ("Green Meetings") in the organization
