Tickets are available for all bus and tram lines of the tariff zone 101. The zone extends up to Graz Airport. In addition, tickets are valid for the Schlossbergbahn funicular.

Important facts about buses and trams in Graz

Buy a ticket and off you go! Tickets are available at the following locations:

  • Online tickets can be purchased via the GrazMobil app for smartphones.
  • Tickets from the vending machines in tramways and at stops: Stationary ticket vending machines are available here: Hauptbahnhof (5 vending machines), Hauptbahnhof Bus stop lines58/63, Hauptplatz, Griesplatz, Bad Straßgang, Jakominiplatz, Murpark Liebenau, Hasnerplatz, LKH Med Uni (2 vending machines), St. Leonhard tram (2 vending machines), St. Leonhard Bus (2 vending machines), Smart City, Dreierschützengasse, Reininghauspark, Jochen-Rindt-Platz, Reininghaus. In addition, there are separate ticket machines in the three P+R parking garages (Fölling, Brauquartier and Liebenau Murpark).
  • Tickets at the Mobility and Sales Center: You will find the Mobility and Sales Center (Mobilitäts- und Vertriebscenter) at Jakoministraße 1, in the immediate vicinity of Jakominiplatz. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6 pm, Saturday 9 am – 1 pm.
  • Tickets in around 100 tobacconists: Here you can find out where the nearest tobacconist is!
  • Tickets in the online shop of Holding Graz Linien: Quite a few tickets can be purchased conveniently online via the ticket shop of Holding Graz Linien.
     

Important note: Please validate pre-purchased tickets properly before your journey. Here you will find an overview of all tickets, including more detailed explanations and purchasing options. 

An hourly ticket for adults currently costs € 3.10. Reduced hourly tickets for € 1.60 are available for children and people with disabilities. The 24-hour ticket costs € 6.80 for adults and the reduced 24-hour ticket is available for € 3.40.

Yes, tickets are available from cashless ticket machines in all Holding Graz buses.

Please note that you need a valid ticket for your dog (Hourly ticket for a dog € 1.60 I 24-hour ticket for a dog: € 3.40)

Daily (also at weekends and on public holidays) from start to end of service travel is free of charge on the tram lines and the replacement bus services of the lines 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 23. Free travel is available between the following stations:

  • Lines 1 + 7: between Südtiroler Platz + Kaiser-Josef-Platz
  • Lines 3 + 5: between Schlossbergplatz + Finanzamt or Dietrichsteinplatz
  • Lines 4+ 6: between Südtiroler Platz + Finanzamt or Dietrichsteinplatz
  • Lines 23: between Jakominiplatz + Dietrichsteinplatz

From Graz main station or Graz airport to Graz city center

Graz main station is one of the most important train stations in Austria. The modern transport hub connects local and long-distance transport in Styria and beyond the state's borders. The following public transport options are available for traveling to and from Graz Main Station:


Graz Airport is also very well connected to public transport. The bus stop (Graz Airport, bus lines 630 and 631) is located directly in front of the passenger building, in the immediate vicinity of the departure area. The train station (Graz/Feldkirchen Airport, S-Bahn line S5) is approx. 300 m and a few minutes' walk from the terminal.

Every Saturday and Sunday as well as on the nights before a public holiday, a total of eight night bus lines is in operation between 00.30 am and 02.30 am.
